Krabi, 1995
Picture the scene - outrageously steep routes on clean overhanging limestone with monstrous tufas hanging down all over the place, warm sand underfoot, clear blue sea 30 metres from the base of the climb, and a cafe 30 metres in the other direction. Directions couldn't be easier: fly to Phuket, take a cruise boat to Phi-phi, then a cruise boat to Railay beach, Krabi. Sound tempting?
